A wonderful place for car clubs. There is heaps of off-road parking – right in front of Vue Restaurant!

The Rolls-Royce Owners' Club group visited the Boonah Valley Motel for lunch at the Vue Restaurant on Sunday 19th April 2009.

Testimonials

• Lola and I were members of the Rolls-Royce Owners' Club group which visited your restaurant for lunch last Sunday as part of its annual "Golden Oldies" outing.

We are writing to offer you our personal compliments on the lunch you provided. We thought the food was excellent in both its quality and presentation. In particular the sweets were to die for! Without doubt the meal was one of the – perhaps the – best we have experienced over some three decades of participating in similar events throughout Australia.

Apart from the high standard of the quality and presentation of the meal, the most pleasing and striking – but most unusual – aspect was the timeliness of its serving. Delivery of each course to the tables was completed over a very short period, thus enabling the whole group to effectively eat simultaneously – a tall order for some 75 meals – but so well appreciated by all the participants! Also the interval between courses was just right for a lunch on what was primarily a motoring event.

Such organisational efficiency is quite rare. Not only does it reflect highly on your chef's planning ability; it is also a great credit to your serving staff. Which brings me to a final observation – the delightfully pleasant demeanour of each member of the serving staff capped off a wonderful dining experience. There is obviously a very supportive staff culture in your establishment which nurtures efficiency, competence and customer satisfaction.

With our sincere congratulations and kind regards to all concerned.

• Just a quick note of appreciation for your lovely restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed our lunch today very much – congratulations to your chef, we'll certainly be back before long! Very friendly and efficient wait staff too.

• The rooms are in a series of stone-built chalets an a gentle curve looking down towards the lake. Wildlife abounds. You park in a car port alongside your room (a great facility as we were there in a storm). Each room has its own verandah. We had dinner and breakfast in the Vue Restaurant. A very good cook plus excellent service. We thought everything was very good value for money with the room at just AUD99.
We would like to have a longer stay one day and we enjoyed shopping in the local town too. The local national parks were wonderful.
There was just one downside. We stayed in the room with a connecting door to the next room (the family unit). Although our neighbours made little noise we could easily hear them. We slept well enough but it was a little disconcerting and could have been a problem if the neighbours had been noisier. We were in the only room configured like this. We had not expected to stay in Boonah at all but because of the Queensland storms of last November we abandoned our journey and were lucky to get any room well into the evening so if this might bother you book ahead.

• The motel was recommended to us as somewhere to stay near the local gliding club. We were very impressed with the beautiful setting and modern rooms. So much so in fact we booked there again for New Years Eve as we were travelling around the area. Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinners served in the Vue restaurant which is also open to the public.

• We stayed at the Boonah Valley Motel for a long weekend and it turned out to be a great place. The rooms look almost new, even though its apparently 2 years old. The rooms are enormous, and have been furnished well throughout. The motel is on the outskirts of Boonah, with a nice bushland setting. It was a relaxing place to stay, with the bushland out the front of our room. Our room had a mini-bar, tea & coffee facilities, pay tv, air conditioning and iron. There is also a pool, but it was a bit cold for swimming while we were there.
For the price, it was an excellent place to stay. There is also a restaurant at the motel, that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boonah Valley Motel is a great, relaxing place to stay if you are exploring the nearby national parks.
